In 2020, the year RA’s first cohort graduated from high school, RA created the Next Step Scholarship fund. This fund supports students who have gone the distance with RA, from 4th/5th grade through high school graduation, and are boldly launching into their next step.

Our long-term commitment means once an RA student, always an RA student.

RA’s Next Step Scholarships sustain the RA model: long-term, one-on-one mentoring made more powerful by removing barriers to equitable participation in the spaces where youth are meant to thrive. Students receive support from a mentor as they navigate the system of financial aid, internships, and classes. And, they receive financial backing for necessities like food, transportation, and technology.
