Rainier Athletes’ inaugural Unity of Community / Comunidad Unida event celebrated the love, togetherness, and inclusivity that is powered by our united community.

An evening full of lively dance, diverse cuisine, and impassioned speeches was shared by nearly 200 families, students, mentors, coaches, teachers and many community partners. Students spoke directly to their teachers, mentors and coaches, celebrating lessons learned in and out of the classroom. Special guest, Major “Chief” Carl Kleinknecht, spoke to the importance of building and keeping trust as a key ingredient to a connected community. To cap off the celebration, all in attendance approached center stage for a community wide Zumba session!
